Thanksgiving

Well, I ended up with wheelchair privileges!! A different doctor rounded yesterday morning and he gave them to me!!! HOORAY! Cameron brought the kids up tonight and we were able to just relax and visit for about an hour. I swear they have grown in just the couple weeks I have been gone! It was so nice to see them and I can't wait to be able to see them more often for our little visits. It gives me something to look forward to. They brought me some delicious dinner from my moms and some homemade cherry pie, my absolute favorite!!

Later my mom, Candace, Colbs and Brit came and visited for a little bit. I just love them. Colby can somehow make you smile even if you are not in the mood. I have the best family ever!

Update on the family...

I went and had an ultrasound done with the perinatologist on Monday and the girls have strong heartbeats and are both still growing!! That is the positive thing of the day...Baby A's placenta is still pulling away and now she has low fluid. I will go back to Peri on Dec. 1 and have everything checked again. My doctor was kind enough to tell me that he is planning on me being in the hospital till after Christmas and I don't get wheelchair privileges till I stop bleeding...who knows when that will be. That was one of the hardest things for me to hear just because that means I don't get to see my kiddos hardly ever since the hospital has the visitation policy of no kids in patient care areas. Hopefully the staff will find some way of making an exception for me, they say they are working on it for me.

Cameron and the kids seem to be holding it together very well. I knew they would, they are amazing! We talk on the phone quite a bit.

Thank you to all our family and friends who have been helping so much!! I don't know how we could do it with out you!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

Bedrest in the hospital!!!

Well most of you have heard, I am in the hospital on bedrest. I started spotting on Thursday and it got worse that night while I was at work, but still not to bad. Well Friday morning was worse so I went to see my doctor and he sent me over to the hospital and then one thing led to another and here I am sitting over on post partum twiddling my thumbs. On the plus side the babies look great, they are growing and have good strong heart beats! I love that sound!! I am not contracting and feel fine if the bleeding would just stop!

The short story is that part of one of the placentas (there are two) is a little low lying and it is close to my scar tissue from my previous c-sections and it is pulling away in just that spot. The rest of the placenta looks good. So I am sitting here so they can monitor the babies once a shift and keep an eye on the bleeding. They don't know how long I will be here, the closest we have got is I can go home a week after I stop bleeding. Not so fun.

The visiting policy at the hospital is very strict right now. Cameron can of course come, plus 2 other visitors which they band and they are the only two that can come. Not even kids are allowed. Although if I can get wheelchair privileges then they will let me leave the unit for a little bit and go see the kids outside the unit. Hopefully that will happen sooner then later!! I sure miss my punkins' and it has only been a couple of days. They are hanging in there and having fun with dad, grandma and all my family that is helping out, they are the best and so helpful!!

So there you have it. Thanks you for all the help and prayers. I just keep telling myself that this trial will pass and we will be better and stronger for it. I have a whole new compassion for those poor moms that sit on bedrest for weeks and months, not so fun, but definitely worth it in the long run.

Halloween

Halloween was very fun this year and actually kind of relaxing! Cameron took the kids to the Sandy aquarium in the morning. They got to wear their costumes and go do crafts, a costume contest and of course see the fish and pet the sting rays!

In the afternoon we went and trick or treated at the shops in Morgan, they had a lot of shops participate and were very generous! I think Cassidy had the most fun just towing Addy around! Then we made the rounds to the great grandparents and grandparents! And of course Cameron took them around our own block! The kids felt like they totally scored!! Conner loved just walking around and telling everyone he was a lion and giving them his best growl! These kids crack me up!!

This is Cassidy's second grade school picture! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! She is doing wonderful in everything she tries! I think she is so beautiful and is very photogenic! I just love her!
