5 weeks old, 1/26/10

Caylee is sick of having pictures and really wants to eat. She was sucking on Chloe's arm for a little bit.


The twins are 5 weeks old tonight. They had their eyes checked this morning and they look great, they don't have to have them checked for 6 months now. They are doing wonderful. We are still waiting for them to perk up and eat more so they can come home.

Stats-
Caylee: 4 lbs 1 oz. and 17 inches long.
Chloe: 3 lbs 12 oz. and 17 1/4 inches long.

The headbands and bows/flowers the girls are sporting were made today by Morgan and me. So very cute!! Thanks Morg for teaching me!!

One Month Old, 1/22/10

Holy cow!! The twins are already a month old! I am surprised at how fast time has gone, even while we are in the NICU! The girls are growing and are starting to eat once in a while. They still spend most of their time sleeping. They are co-bedding now and it is so cute. Chloe loves to sleep next to Caylee, I think Caylee just tolerates it. They had their follow-up head ultrasounds and everything still looks good. Last Tuesday they had their eyes checked and they looked great. I am so thankful that we have had such a smooth course, I hope it keeps up and we get them home soon!!

Chloe is 3 lbs 10 oz. and 17 inches long.

Caylee is 3 lbs 14 oz. and 16 3/4 inches long.

Sledding

Mom offered to take the kids awhile ago so that Cameron and I could have a date and also go to the hospital to see the twins together. We had a nice day, mostly catching up on errands and a delicious lunch at Red Lobster, my favorite!! The kids had a blast. They spent a could part of the day sledding and playing in the snow. They love to be outside, especially Conner. Conner is a die hard!!

3 weeks old, 1/12/10

The twins are now 3 weeks old. They are doing wonderful. Chloe is requiring some extra oxygen, but only occasionally. They are starting to act like maybe they are interested in eating, but it is short lived. It is a start. Caylee is 3 lbs 2.8 oz. and Chloe was 3 lbs. 1 oz.

It was also bath night tonight!! The girls tolerate their bath, at least they don't cry.

The twins are doing amazing! They are starting to put on weight and are tolerating their feedings through their feeding tubes, now if they would start to wake up and want to eat we would be in heaven!!! :) It is so fun to already see their little personalities. Caylee seems to be more laid back. She is content to sleep, she will occasionally peek at you with one eye. Chloe is awake more. She will smile at you and has the cutest dimple in her right cheek that melts my heart. I feel so lucky that they are here and we made it as far as we did. They are truly little miracles.
